Born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, I recently relocated to Bradford, UK, just three months ago. My journey in tech didn't start on a Figma canvas, I originally began my career as a web and WordPress developer before discovering my true pull toward the design field.
The creative instinct has always been there, rooted in childhood art competitions and endless sketching. While pursuing my Bachelor's and Diploma in Computer Science, I began learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. That technical foundation quickly sparked a fascination with visual architecture. I spent hours absorbing YouTube tutorials, teaching myself Photoshop and Illustrator, and proudly showing off colorful, experimental logos to my friends.
The real turning point came in 2015. During a frontend development internship, a senior colleague recognized my visual eye and trusted me to design actual client websites in Photoshop. That vote of confidence changed everything. I pivoted fully into design, becoming a Top Rated Seller on Fiverr in just one year (2016) and working as a graphic designer while finishing my degree.
As the industry evolved, so did my toolkit. I transitioned from Photoshop to Adobe XD, and ultimately to Figma. While working at Fleekbiz, I championed this shift across the agency. I trained the entire design team to move away from static web layouts and embrace interactive prototyping—a strategic pivot that significantly boosted the company’s success rate, revenue, and client onboarding. Today, I am completely dedicated to UI/UX product design, leveraging core UX principles to build robust design systems and architecture for complex SaaS and AI platforms.
